After refining an unmistakably brilliant live presence, Leeds’ indie charmers Little Hand Feet are making their recorded debut. Enjoy an early listen of “Ouch” out properly on the 30th of July.
If you were to travel back a few years before any mention of social distancing or daily rate checks you would find a rambunctious indie band permanently inhabiting the stages at legendary venues like The Brudenell. Racking up shows alongside legendary acts such as Deeper, Public Practice, and Willie J Healey, the group sowed the seeds for stardom. As with all things great, though, trials and tribulations came in the form of a global pandemic. Now, luckily with the blistering warmth of summer, Little Hand Feet are finally able to emerge from their forced hibernation to give us a preview of “Ouch”, their debut single.

Fronted by the ever-charming Ben Udin, Little Hand Feet are part garage-rock, part sing-along indie, and completely DIY. On "Ouch" we’re treated to a marriage of two worlds. With break-neck riffs that rip and roar with heated frenzy opening the track one might expect the garage sounds of Mike Krol or Fidlar, but really the heart of the track lies in its laidback verses. Relaying the story of an unfortunate trampoline accident in the heat of the summer, Udin’s voice recalls the sound of The Magic Gang as the instrumentals similarly ease into their groove. Equal parts fiery and laid-back, Little Hand Feet will make an excellent addition to your regular rotation.
